Radiator Cooling Fan Motor: Testing and Inspection

COOLING FAN MOTOR INSPECTION [L-3 WITH TC]

Note:
^ Cooling fan motor No.2 can be inspected, however, cooling fan motor No.1 cannot be inspected because it is integrated with the fan control module.

1. Verify that the battery is fully charged.





2. Disconnect the cooling fan motor No.2 connector (2 terminals).
3. Install a tester and battery to the cooling fan motor No. 2 connector (2 terminals) as shown in the figure.
4. Verify that fan motor No.2 operates smoothly at the standard current.
^ If not within the specification, replace the fan motor No.2.
