Oil Seal (Oil Pump) Replacement [AW6A-EL]

OIL SEAL (OIL PUMP) REPLACEMENT [AW6A-EL]

1. Remove the transaxle.

Caution:
^ The oil seal is easily damaged by the sharp edges of the torque converter splines. Do not let the splines contact the oil seal.
^ Do not drop the torque converter.
^ Do not pinch fingers.

2. Remove the torque converter.

Caution:
^ Do not to damage the bushing on the oil pump body.





3. Using a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver, remove the oil seal from the oil pump body.





4. Using the SST and a hammer, install the oil seal to the oil pump body
5. Coat the lip of the oil seal-with grease.
6. Install the torque converter.
7. Install, the transaxle.
8. Perform the mechanical system test.
